Cosmopolitan at Las Vegas

"Just the right amount of wrong."

Yes, that is their marketing campaign. If may have seen their 30 or 60 second commercial on the T.V. You know, the grandma dancing with a young man, pantsless bell boy, dude wearing a tuxedo in the pool and that extra bunny that got kicked out of the hotel.

Finally got to visit this hotel were celebrities and awesome people (like Beyonce and Jay-Z) flocked to for NYE 2011. My first visit was with my parents on the same day it opened. We did a quick walk-through on the second floor towards the City Center walkway. Second time, I was pretty drunk. So I can't remember much. Third time, finally sober and walked around the whole hotel. I appreciate art and this hotel was full of it. Full of lovely modern art. See more pictures below.

Some lovely things they had at Cosmopolitan LV:
  1. If you're a chronic gambler and you have to play that certain slot machine, their interactive map tells you where it is located.
  2. The pool is open to the public! Well, it's winter and of course no one would actually swim in their pools.
  3. There are more art in their underground garage. The parking stalls has either green or red light. Green for open parking, and red for "Sorry, this spot is taken but some other car. Keep driving!"

Nilaga (Filipino Beef Stew)

I decided to cook something with beef and some vegetables.
If you're going to ask me for the recipe, I can't give it to you. I didn't use any measuring cups, spoons etc. I did it free hand. But the ingredients are as followed: tenderloin beef, potatoes, cabbage, soy sauce, salt and bay leaves.

All that I remember was that I used 6 bay leaves.

My Fake Armani.

In GQ this week: The GQ Spring Style Preview. Of course, I was doing my Sunday afternoon reading of GQ articles and Stumbleupon.com stumbling on various subjects. So going through the slides, I figured, there's no way I would wear these cloths. Well, except for the very small checkered/plaid button up shirts. Here comes number 14, the item is a tobacco-colored suit. GQ featured a Giorgio Armani suit that retails about $2100 (Slide below). Wait a minute... this suit looks familiar.

Of course! I have one too! Weeks ago, I bought a brown suit from H&M for $249 (duh, $250 + tax). Very similar to the featured suit from GQ. Before buying the suit from H&M, I was very hesitant in the pre-purchase of it. Do I need it? Do I not have more than enough suits? What am I going to use it for? How often will I use it? All these consumer buyer behavior came rushing in. Haha. I studied that in college. Ehh... I still bought cause it looks good on me. Don't all men look good in suits? Jack Black, Michael Buble, Drew Carey (just to name a few celebrities who own a pudge). The first time I wore was for 2011 New Year's Eve. Of course, no one wears a suit jacket in Hawaii, but I still wore it cause I have to use it for something. In that way, a good suit wouldn't go to waste. In the picture below, the suit looks darker but it's actually brown in white light.

So I guess, I'm a little ahead when it comes to Spring 2011. Haaaahhh...not. Only one item out of about 30 for GQ Spring Style Preview? Not bad. Let me go through my closet if I have anymore clothes that GQ featured.
Oh no it's 2011. So what have I done so far this year? Eat... and more eating.

So in honor of the new year, I plan to:

  • updated this blog at least 3x a week
  • eat less junk food
  • cook at home
  • find a real job
  • photo diary of everything!
Now, time to recharge my G12's battery.

Summer 2010 Vegas!!!!

Really? Summer 2010 Vegas?!?!

So I was in Hawaii for about two weeks to visit family & eat loco moco.

Will update with pictures soon!

But now I'm back in Vegas and trying to make it epic with KBBQ, Pool Parties, and going to some concerts. Maybe even seeing the East Coast!!! Like the Atlantic Ocean. Also, even getting a dog with my roommate. We're gonna be like a gay couple who can't have kids so we're adopting a dog. Dachshund. :D

That's all for now.

Oh no, life is so hard!

So it was my lunch break at work at I wasn't much hungry. I offered my co-workers Starbucks. Meaning they would give me cash and I'll order them their drinks.

I went to Starbucks in a hurry cause I only have 30 minutes for lunch. I gave the barista the orders and went back to work. I gave my boss her frappuccino and I forgot to order it with no whip. She claims that she asked for no whip. and I replied:

"Oh my god, your life is sooooo hard with whip on your frappuccino. You know you can spoon it out, right?"

I just got a glaring stare from my boss.
